The Country Market at Mont De Lancey

Second Saturday of each month at Mont De Lancey

Second Saturday of each month, the Mont De Lancey Country Market

The Second Saturday of each month, the Mont De Lancey Country Market will provide a unique personal encounter with the makers and growers of quality regional products.

In a heritage setting which provides a true country market environment, the Mont De Lancey Country Market will celebrate all things fresh! Held on the second Saturday of each month, Mont De Lancey brings together some of the best and most unusual produce and products available and allows visitors to chat with the growers, producers and winemakers.

The event is jointly created and presented by the custodians of Mont De Lancey, the Mont Market Group and supported by the Shire of Yarra Ranges. The property is a significant Victorian heritage location offering great historic interest in settlement in and around the Wandin area as well as outstanding views of the surrounding orchard countryside and ranges along with the Yarra Valley.

More than just a market, this day offers an opportunity to explore the magnificent gardens, the original homestead and the fantastic outbuildings on the property, while a French café offers a gourmet breakfast and lunch to enhance the experience.

Admission

Admission fee is a gold coin per person (children free) which will be used to ensure the preservation of this historical property which is a community based project.

# 8 - ROAD SURVEY
By degrees the by-roads were surveyed and cleared, and bridges and culverts were built. In the year 1880 a new one-chain road to Lilydale was cleared, and gradually formed in sections by contract. This was the road which is used at the present day, Mr Thomas Hand being the shire engineer.
