Exhibition at the MDL Gallery from Wed 14th April to Sun 9th May 2010.
An exhibition celebrating a mother's journey, exploring colour and the beauty of nature as the river flows towards the sea. Specialising in silk paintings & scarves, enhanced with a collection of mixed media paintings by Julia Goodwin.
(The Gallery is open Wed to Sun inclusive, 10-4.30pm, with $5 pp entry, which includes self-serve coffee & tea).
Closed Mondays & Tuesdays, however, Group bookings for these days may be arranged.

Family Reunion Day

Mr Thomas Mattingley was appointed Head Teacher at a fixed salary, which had to be raised partly by a weekly charge of from sixpence 6d. to one shilling 1/-, being made for each scholar, according to age, the Committee holding itself responsible for any deficiency that might occur. On one occasion as much as Five pound had to be paid by each member of the Committee to make good the teacher's salary. Such arrangements continued in force until the passing of the famous Education Act of 1870.
