Farmers Market

For one special Saturday each month, the Mont de Lancey market will provide a unique personal encounter with the makers and growers of quality regional products.

In a heritage setting which provides a true country market environment, the Mont De Lancey market will celebrate all things fresh! Held on the second Saturday of each month, Mont De Lancey brings together some of the best and most unusual produce and products available and allow visitors to chat with the growers, producers and winemakers.

Wine and Cheese Tasing Nights

Local winemaker John D'liso and guests enjoying tasting a range of wines and cheeses at our first tasting night. Sampled on the evening were favorites such as Cantal, Roquefort, Pont l'Eveque, Brie de Nangis and a wonderful goats cheese. Approx 35 guests enjoyed a selection of French and Yarra valley wines.

Photographic Competition at Mont De Lancey

During October Mont De Lancey will be host to a photographic Competition and Exhibition. This will be a major arts event in the Yarra Valley, with a prize pool totalling arond $5,000 across a broad range of categories. Read more here.

# 4 - In 1892 Mr C Thomas Briggs, a pioneer fruitgrower, established the first commercial passion fruit culture in Victoria. The first seeds were obtained from a plant growing in the garden of Mr George E Overton. Mr Briggs encountered difficulties at first in selling the fruit, for, at the time it was virtually unknown in Victoria.
