Whether you're organising a Probus outing, Vintage Car Club drive, Historical Society excursion, Retirement Village activity or other group visit, Mont De Lancey offers an enjoyable day out just an hour from Melbourne.
Your group visit includes a guided tour of the property led by one of our knowledgeable volunteers. Your group will:
- See how the Sebire family lived in their historic 1880s homestead.
- Discover how meals were prepared in the timber slab kitchen.
- Visit the charming 1920s weatherboard chapel.
- View everyday household & farm items from a range of eras.
- Stroll through beautiful gardens overlooking the Yarra Valley.
- Explore historic farm equipment and vehicles in the Machinery Workshop*
- Watch the blacksmiths, hard at work at the forge.*
Allow approximately 2.5 hours for your visit plus time for morning tea or lunch (if required).
*Blacksmith demonstrations, woodturning and machinery displays are presented by independent groups and may not be operating at all times.
*Please note that we're closed over the Christmas/New Year period.
