A Midsummer Night’s Dream
One of Shakespeare’s most popular and widely performed plays.
Shakespeare’s tale of magic, mischief and love.
Trouble arises in Athens, when young lovers Hermia and Lysander flee to escape Duke Theseus’s justice. In hot pursuit are Demetrius, who is in love with Hermia, and Helena who is in love with Demetrius. Chaos!
In the forest, the lovesick foursome encounters the chaotic fairy Puck whose penchant for mischief goes a little too far! Fairy King, Oberon is unhappy with his fairy Queen, Titania. This contest of wills is just too much for a poor group of amateur actors who fall victim to their magic!
Ozact Theare Company’s adaptation will bring the play to life here at Mont De Lancey, all with the help of some of Australia’s greatest performers.
So, dust off the folding chairs and join us for some Shakespeare in the Great Outdoors this Autumn.
